Solutions
The Automation Project Solutions portfolio spans the disciplines
of control, instrumentation, electrical and mechanical engineering.
Our project group is able to integrate your plant utilising the
latest open industry standards. Promoting the use of industrial
networks and integration of the plant floor with the business enterprise,
real time information can be truly integrated across the facility.
Over
the years our team has built up a varied experience with specialist
exposure to Hazardous Area applications, Custody Transfer and plant
floor to business enterprise integration. Applying current technologies
and utilising a philosophy of open, scalable and integrated architectures
we can design, configure, program and install an automation solution
that meets your individual project requirements of cost and functionality.
SCADA
PVSS II is an integrated automation system which provides software
solutions to all essential parts of industrial automation. In particular,
the following automation functions are managed by this innovative
software:

Data Acquisition and Processing

Control

Visualisation

Alarm Handling

Trending

Reporting

Documentation

Simulation
The
User Interface Manager (VISION) is one of the major components of
the PVSS II system, which provides an interactive user interface
for the plant processes. It allows the user to monitor the measurements
from the field equipment, the status of the process components such
as pumps, tanks, valves, etc. and the conditions of the alarms.
PVSS
II has a library of core classes, eg. pipes, trends, motors, tanks
that can be used in a project, or the user can develop their own
class for specific needs. Having a re-useable class means subsequent
projects can be implemented much more quickly.
Utilizing
a Client/Server architecture PVSS II allows distributed users across
an enterprise but maintains a single point of configuration.
All engineering functions and control functions are undertaken at
the server location and run transparently in the background.
The
server provides clients with graphical user interfaces for all server
tasks (eg. Process Graphics, Configuration). This is an approach
which strongly leverages commercial computer systems, enabling the
user to utilise the breadth and cost of commercially available hardware.
For
example, the PVSS II client software can be run on standard desktop
PCs simultaneously with other programs. Compliant operating systems
for the PVSS II server software are:

Windows NT/2000

Linux
Because
PVSS II is independent of any brand of automation hardware it allows
a Mix-And-Match approach to integrate many different hardware components.
Thus, PVSS II is ideally suited for modernisation projects that
require the user to integrate numerous hardware varieties.
