How would you describe your internship at DKI?
As it's my first internship, I don't have any means of comparison, however, I felt a very smooth transaction from student life to the working environment. especially due to the time my colleagues gave me to grow.
What challenges did you experience during your internship?
My challenges were mainly related to time and performance balance, so the internship allowed me to adjust this as I had to work from 9 to 6; it was extremely beneficial.
Looking back, what do you wish you had known before you started this internship?
I wish I had read or at least gotten myself familiar a little bit more with the company's scope and the downstream sector. Still, the working environment facilitated all these aspects by giving me time to develop.
What was the best part about working with the DKI team? What was it about the program participants?
Really this should be team inclusion, I never imagined more experienced colleagues coming to me with some tasks for me to do, and sometimes they would consult me, which really shocked me.
What was the most challenging part of working with the DKI team?
The challenging aspect was probably due to my inexperience, some projects were slightly out of my comprehension scope, but the teammates came to my aid and explained whatever I couldn't grasp.
Tell us about your new skills, techniques, and knowledge.
First and most important - Communication skills (knowing how to address colleagues from different backgrounds and diverse expertise and age). Also, project management (learning to anticipate delays and mistakes gave me an edge as frequently things would be done on time. Therefore I was constantly conquering deadlines).
